Two good swims in a row. Managing to focus on just moving lately even when I'm tired. A lot of it has to do with the days being longer, I'm just no good when it's dark and I'm supposed to be hibernating.

I was two strokes short of my PR yesterday and I kept my heart rate pretty consistent once I was warmed up. All good stuff. 921 strokes, average heart rate 145 which is down from the 150's for this same speed a couple months ago, so that's more progress, 10.2 METs which means I can stand to work a little harder. that said, I may turn up the current a notch, but I don't want to get sloppy and injure myself. and it's not all about the numbers, this swim just felt really good.

For some reason this morning's coffee is really good. strange how that happens when nothing has changed. Going for another swim today and then will be back to walking until Thursday when I'm home again.

Sun is hiding this morning, marine layer is back. Hoping it burns off but doesn't feel like it will. I enjoyed the sun while it was here. Tons to do and it's a weekend so weekend rules. need to download some Netflix for tomorrow.

Mine are hardly expensive, but you must treat them with respect. They’re not cats, they only have one life, not nine At least you’re not boiling them.

I'm adjusting to the longer hours of daylight. I'm able to let Bobby out just before 6am and the birds are singing like crazy at that time. And at least I go to bed a little later now because I am ready to sleep as soon as it gets dark! I almost needed the a/c yesterday for the first time this year but didn't have to. It got up to 78 in the house by 7pm but was 71 when I got up at 6am.

Yes, I love the longer days! However, they still suck when it is cold, gray and snowy. I think we will be back in the 60s May 1st. It isn't the 82 degrees like last week but I will take it over 26 degrees. The only two negative things about long days are a hot house until 11p, and it is a bit of a challenge to put the young children to bed prior to sunset.

I had a good cup of coffee this morning too. I made it the same...I love getting up early and having my coffee before Joe gets up. ( I get up at 5, he sleeps till about 7) It's my time to reflect and plan my days.💜💜

Had two cups with brunch this morning. More likely to drink coffee when out with friends than at home alone.
