Katsolo's Journal, 29 January 2023

Happy Sunday, cold, rainy and windy here again. So much for doing stuff in the yard, guess we'll stick to the house.
Was supposed to go to lunch, too cold. Happy to stay inside and tidy up. Still chasing dog fur.

Late posting, a little behind today even though I didn't sleep in.

Weekend rules, I guess. Enjoy the day!

Love my cordless shark, but my battery also went kerplunk. Had bought a second battery and packed it away, BUT WHERE?!!! So using the regular vacuum and fighting with the cord!😠 Hope you get your battery soon, plus using Duracell is worth the extra $ in everything else. My hair is frizzy as the rain is here and will start again at 7. It’s 54, but feels like 24🥶 Stay warm with your firewood.👍 Going to turn the heater up, brrrrr!

I never thought about a cordless vacuum. I hate battery operated items. I would rather plug in my bathroom scale instead of trying to find the right battery. Years ago I did research on vacuums that were good for pet hair and bought a Miele. Still have it after over 15 years. It was $700 when I bought it. I see they now have a cordless model. Is the appeal because you don't have to keep plugging it in as you vacuum the house? Or is it small and easier to use?

Fritzy, it’s super small and powerful. The first battery lasted me almost seven years. The cheap replacement I bought only lasted a year, so I ordered another OEM. I do have a corded vac as backup, but it’s not as powerful, believe it or not.

Maybe I'll look into a handheld vacuum. The Miele is great for the house but I often don't use it because I don't want to drag the canister into the bedroom just to clean a small area around the door where Bobby brings in dirt, leaves, etc. And Bobby and the cats are scared of the vacuum so sometimes I don't vacuum when they are all sleeping on the bed.
