Oh my goodness 😱 I knew it was going to be a high reading before I got on the scales, that was the reason I haven't been on here for such a long time but evens so that is a shocking amount to have put on 😢.

First I will think about the reasons /excuses

1. I went to the UK in November and stayed for 3 weeks getting totally spoilt.
2. My son and his girlfriend friend came back with me and stayed for a month so we were eating out and I was cooking more extravagant meals using lots of wonderful ingredients that were very rich (but gorgeous)
3. It was Christmas so chocolate, cakes, nut and so many more delicious treats passed my lips.
4. I have not stinted on alcohol, having wine with meals and a glass or two of something in the evenings
5. With people staying my usual routines went out of the window so I did a lot less moving around
6. My fibromyalgia has been the worst it has ever been so exercise has been totally out of the question, I haven't even been walking which I love and can usually push through the pain
7. I have had to give in and take strong painkillers which I know seem to slow down my metabolism, increase my appetite and makes me lethargic
8. I have been feeling a little depressed about my health, wondering if its going to be like this forever and if I can cope with the level of pain so have been comfort eating.
9. I've been feeling my age and letting it get to me so more comfort eating

Now I have got that off my chest its now time to think about how to turn things around.
I know carrying extra weight increases my pain so things should improve as my weight goes down.
I will try to cut down on the painkillers if I can.
I have no one here to entertain so I can eat sensibly and resist the temptation of having more fattening foods.
I don't have to put on a brave face everyday so people think I'm OK and they aren't putting me out
I can do a little bit of exercise each day without feeling like a failure because I have had to turn around after only walking a short way. Doing something is better than nothing
EVERY LITTLE HELPS just like every mouthful COUNTS,,,,,,,I think this might become my new mantra 🤔
Try and remember to record my food intake as this helps me focus on what I'm eating and when.
Well today is as good a time to start being kind to my body and soul, let's see what the next week brings
