Okay, well, the weigh in wasn't as bad as I thought. Still, its bad enough...and makes me realize that I can't just take time off from taking care of myself.

The knee is better today. Trying to do things the "natural" way just wasn't working. I had upped my fish oil (which helps with inflamation) and tried to put ice on it frequently. But finally yesterday I caved in and took an ibuprofen before bed. Another when I got up this morning and by late afternoon I could walk with hardly any pain (first time in about six days!). I am taking another one tonight. I am ABSOLUTELY convinced that this is all about weight. If I lose a little I KNOW my knee will feel better. In the meantime, ibuprofen is my friend. I promise that after I lose 20lbs, if it isn't better, I will go to the doctor. But I talked to my dr. friend today and he said I can be on the ibuprofen until then, so no worries.

I know just what you mean! The heavier I got the more my knees and feet would hurt. It really sucked having to shy away from heels for awhile. You can do it!

Yup, you must put yourself FIRST, Girlfriend! Now I don't want you going away from FS anymore, you hear!!! Glad your knee is feeling better. Take the ibuprofen. Don't let yourself be in pain. Also, you might try Alleve or the generic form - Naproxin. It lasts for 12 hours so you don't have to take it as often and it works great for joint pain. Keep hanging in there! (((((HUGS)))))
