I'm tired of being less than my best. I'm tired of not liking the way I look. I'm tired of trying and failing. It's time for a change.

I'm Atkins-ing it up and loving it! Little side note: I'm now officially under my lowest WW weight. Truth. It took me less than two weeks to do what on WW took me 16 weeks. What does this mean to me? Well, that I'm on the fast-track to being a hottie, that's what.

Do you crave sugar?
I still crave sugar sometimes - mainly around my period. You have to remember that it's an addiction and that you can get past it. If you find you can't just let it go, I'd suggest making clouds or something. These can be really good, especially if you make a mint chip version, etc. If you google it, there should be a ton of variations. They curb the sugar craving and are very rich and satisfying.

CREAM CHEESE CLOUDS
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2-3/4 cup granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda *
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other flavoring

Beat everything with an electric mixer until fluffy. Drop by bite-size spoonfuls onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour. Store in the freezer and eat frozen.

Makes 24 clouds

With granular Splenda:
Per Cloud: 70 Calories; 7g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb
Per 2 Clouds: 140 Calories; 14g Fat; 2g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs

With liquid Splenda:
Per 2 Clouds: 134 Calories; 14g Fat; 2g Protein; .5g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; .5g Net Carbs
Per 4 Clouds: 268 Calories; 29g Fat; 3g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb

Atkins - psyllium or flax seed?
I take psyllium husk tablets every morning with my vitamin - I made it part of the regimen. But, it didn't help completely. I found that a fiber therapy works pretty well. I'm currently using sugar-free Target brand. It's comparable to Metamucil and has 2 carbs. It's gritty and not the most pleasant thing to do, but it's a lot more pleasant than being constipated.
