Making some small adjustments might help. One piece of bacon for breakfast instead of 2. Not buying any dark chocolate for a while. Ration out cashews to just 1 oz a day. It's so easy to eat just a little more and a little more day by day, and I think that's what I've been doing.

It has been brutally hot here since the end of May. Feels like July-Aug already. The rain yesterday afternoon just made it a sauna. I'm still on the morning walk shift with Bubs, thank goodness. Afternoons are so infernal that it's too much for a fluffy dog to handle.

We're having Copper River salmon for dinner tonight. We've been seeing a lot of it for sale everywhere lately at pretty good prices. This will be the second time we've had it this month. It's delish. Been enjoying cherries by the dozens. Next month, the freestone peaches will be ready. I can't wait. Also, our blueberries should be ready for picking soon. And our tomatoes are starting to ripen. Love summer eating.
