Still holding strong. My hubby and I have started jogging together. I'm doing 1.5 miles. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I am not a runner!! I'm trying to build my endurance up so I can increase it to at least 3 miles. We take our dog and run the neighborhood. I decreased my stops by the second run. I was pretty proud of myself b/c I have never been able to run for long distances...I'm more of a sprinter.
I'm meeting up with a friend that I haven't seen in years tonight for dinner, so I won't be able to get the run in today. I will be back at it full force tomorrow. I'm beginning my women's MMA fitness class next week. I met with Kelly Stallings, author and motivational speaker this weekend. She and I are teaming up to help women start "Thinking Thin." You should check out her book and CD at www.lifeismental.com. She is a great person and such an inspiration!! Anyway, I'm anxious to get this new partnership underway.
Update on my album: I'm thinking it will be out in early Fall. I'm so excited to get this done!! It's been a long time coming. I'll keep you posted as to when the release date will be!!

I hope that when Greg gets back from NM he'll start exercising with me. I know we're going to go on hikes now that he's bought be a day pack and an overnight pack. I bet your dog loves the run, I would do that with mine if one of them wasn't so scared of cars and his leash! That's wonderful about your album, definitely let us know when it is, I'll try and get one!

Thanks for the info and great job starting to bring running into your life. It's really the best cardio out there...and it's cheap too!! I really didn't like running at first (sometimes I still feel that way)...just take it day by day and slowly CHANGE your mindset. You'll start enjoying it, You'll see and you'll definitely start running 3 miles or more! =)

Thanks for the encouragement. I really want to love running, I just have always told myself I couldn't do it or I wasn't "built" for it. No more negative talk...positive, positive, positive!!

A lot of days I talk myself positive while running and say things like, "this will make me strong, I have power, I can do anything, 32-33 minutes is nothing!!! I can definitely do this...this is making me slim" etc, etc. Yes! I aggree! No more negative talk. Stop being your worst enemy and be a cheerleader for yourself! You're WORTH it, jadenby. =)

Great job getting the run in. I think running is one of those exercises where you can get an awesome understanding of your body's capabilities. I went from running 2 blocks and getting winded and sore, to running up to 8 miles (1hr, 15mins) and only stopping for 20 seconds for water in a little over a year! If you would have told me a year ago that my body was capable of taking me 8 miles, or that I could run for an hour straight, I would have thought you were crazy! So don't worry about just running 1.5 miles. Just keep at it because over time you're see how wonderfully your body will get stronger and the endurance increase gradually. Stay with it buddy.
