Finally lost another pound. Today I'm going to remind myself throughout the day to eat - I set a timer! Hopefully if I start eating through out the day (small meals) my metabolism will get a jump start.

This was one of the hardest things for me to do. I always thought that if I ate when I was hungry, I'd be fine. But I'd end up eating the worst possible things at the worst possible hours. Sample day - get up at nine, putter around the house. Get ready for work. Head out the door and do some errands, some window shopping. Realize that I haven't eaten and it's now 4pm. Eat something. Work for five hours. Go home. Watch TV or go to the pub. Eat and eat and eat. Sleep. Get up and do it again. Man, I felt like garbage! The timer sounds like a great idea. (Wish I'd thought of that!) I just forced myself to stick to a schedule. If I can do it at work, I should be able to do it with the rest of my life, right? Try eating little snacks like apples and peanut butter or carrots dipped in hummus. I like snacks that take awhile but pack a wallop. ;) Keep going!
