Jada Petsch's Journal, 02 April 2011

Up 1/2 pound. Very happy to see the 259 sticking. ^.^Walking goal for April is at least 50 miles. Walked 3 miles yesterday at the park, so 3/50. It's been awhile since I've pushed Jules in her stroller while walking too. If we go as a family then my hubby normally pushes her, so I can focus on keeping a good pace. XD And boy pushing that stroller is definitely extra work. O.O Especially up the hill. We fed the 2 resident duckies at the pond. Met another Mom at the park and we chatted while our kids played on the Jungle gym. Jules shared her bucket, and sand was dumped on the swings and bottom of the slide, so proud of her for it. Forgot to take my camera. But definitely going to do so today. There are some wild white lilies growing in the shadowed green depths of woods that I REEEEEEEAlly want to get pictures of.

Stayed up too late last night reading..yeah. Darn those romance novels. >.< Just pull you in and refuse to let go til the characters have been throughly ravished, realized they're in love, and married. Mostly did it to keep my mind of my hubby being gone for the weekend. I always miss him the most at night. During the day Jules keeps me occupied so I don't have time to really feel lonely.

Going to try and get to the park again today. It's rather cloudy out, so I'm hoping it doesn't rain and will be pretty like yesterday. Going to push for 3 miles, if my foot, calf, and child cooperate. Now off to meal planning, and another cup of coffee.

Florida. ;) Spring started in February here, hand in hand with allergies. lol. I'll remember my camera today and post some pics tonight or tomorrow of the scenery here. ^.^ Azalias are blooming wildly right now, the lilies are beautiful. And I know of one gardenia that is blooming a bit early, must have been the 80's weather we got the other week. The Dogwoods/fruit trees have pretty much bloomed out now. Though they were lovely to see last month. Now most of the trees are covered in that fresh new foliage of spring, a huge contrast of color to the dark brown rain soaked ground. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. :) So much color. Though Winter has the best sunsets. Summer is my least favorite season, though down here it last from May to September. I love puns too. ;) Always makes me smile. ^.^ Though the nature trail at the park I go to I don't walk very much with all the rain we've been having. For one it's distance isn't tracked out, and for another it's not paved or gravelled, and I'm not fond of muddy shoes or muddy jogging tires in the trunk of my car. lol.

I think she'll walk with me if I can just get her past the jungle gym at the park and keep her from running after the duckies. XD Though I think at that point we'll start doing 'family walks' two or three times a week and get her use to walking with us and not running off all wily nilly. XD She does dance with me at home though, and do some of my yoga moves. Oh and she sits on her balls like I do with my exercise ball that also doubles at my computer chair. I do wish I had her upper body strength though, She can lift her own weight up using just her arms. O.O I could talk about Jules all day. lol. So I'll end it there. I could always leave her at the jungle gym with her Daddy too. So they can have some alone quality time out of the house together...and I can have a peaceful walk. ;) lol

ah-Florida.I was born in Milton, over by Pensacola. But my folks cruelly moved us back to MN close to family when I was young.*sigh*lol.I do have to admit that its beautiful here when the weather coopperates.we have a lake the small town is centered around. And everyone bikes, walks drives around it.Thats a little over 5 miles around.ONly thing is I feel like I'm on display when I walk around it-everyones checking me out-and thinking look at that fatty.so kinda ruins my experience to appreciate the beauty of it all.:(.The other trail by the other lake is more secluded and woodsy-but dunno if you deal with the pesky mosquitos there but here they are the size of dogs.lol. It is hard taking your kids with you on walks.I have one that tends to lag behind and another one that goes running off.lol.so,extra hands to help is always a plus! :)

My step-sister lives in Milton with her family. :) I was very self concious when I first started walking at the park, and especially when I started jogging. XD Then I started thinking: Screw it. I've lost 20/30/40lbs. I'm getting healthy. I deserve to be here as much as the next person. And then I think of what people are thinking when they see me run by them pushing a jogging stroller. XD lol. And I have to say all I can do is laugh at it. Who said fluffy people had to be slow. ;) They can look at me all they want to. I'm proud of all the weight I've lost and the hard work it took to get there. I really appreciate my Hubby when he walks with us, or keeps Jules at home so I can get my walk in not to mention do so peacefully and be able to mentally relax while I'm doing it. Quiet time is priceless.
