Katsolo's Journal, 05 December 2021

Not unexpected and will go away over the next couple of days. Water way up, sodium retention from all the salt in last night's spaghetti and garlic bread for date night. Only ate half, the rest is in the fridge. Cleaned house yesterday, took a lot. Hoping to put up my little tree and lights today along with putting away the laundry I dumped on my bed last night at the last minute thinking I'd fold it before I fell asleep. Instead, I burrowed under it and slept like a log.

I need to purge the fridge today and make sure there are no stragglers from Thanksgiving left in there. Invited another couple over for NYE, so have that to look forward to and plenty of time to clear the cobwebs from the corners in the living room. Paella for sure. We'll likely eat outside with the patio heaters. Need to get some donations to whoever's taking them these days.

Weekend rules on the computer. It's cold and cloudy here today, so we'll call it a token winter day and I'm about to swap my flip flops for UGGs because my feet are freezing. Not enough for the heater, but I'm definitely wearing pants today. So spoiled.

Caught a great sunset by accident last night when I was tweaking something with the Christmas lights on the roof. Clouds made a great filter. I love those accidental moments. Also watched British Airways come in from the east and head towards the airport in the 787 Dreamliner. If you're at just the right angle, you can see the wings flex and it's just a lovely plane. The dot in the pic above the sun is a software glitch. They really need to fix that, but I'm too lazy to edit.

Enjoy the day.

So funny Katsolo, I sleep well too, once I let myself do so. I would have done the same with the laundry!😁 I dump it on the den couch and sort/fold/put away 7 articles of clothing every time I pass by, that way it’s not overwhelming and it’s done in no time!😀 I am donating 9 boxes to the VA as they have an easy website for them to come pick up. The easier the better!👍 Thursday it’s supposed to rain though, ahhhh! I use to get up in the morning and go straight to the coffee maker, then assemble lunches for the day as I clean out just one shelf a day of the refrigerator, that way it’s never overwhelming and always sparkling clean. Stopped since the commuting thing, have to get back into that routine.🙃🎄 Loved the pics!!!👍👏👏👏

It's 56 in my house - would that be cold enough for socks for you? I've been wearing them for several days. I'm funny with laundry. When the dryer is done. I'll take 3 or 4 items out and then start the dryer again for a few minutes so things don't get wrinkled. Once I hang up the 3 or 4 items or put them away I go and get a few more items until the dryer is empty. I also get that way with unloading the dishwasher. I'll unload the silverware first and then put a couple mugs away next time in the kitchen, then maybe any pots and pans. I know it's an easy thing to unload the dishwasher but I seem to make everything a big chore. Don't even ask me about the litter boxes!

I enjoy seeing the hampers empty even though I know it won’t remain that way! It’s better now but once upon a time I had 5 little children and a ease thru from Georgia power in my yard that was red Georgia clay from the big machines that meant a lot of wash!! But I agree there is just something comforting with those fresh from the dryer, warm clothes!!
