JC_suburbangothcatmom's Journal, 15 November 2021

I haven't been big on sharing my bad times on here, so I'll make it short. I had a 4 day weekend and got drunk every night, ate burgers and pizza basically every day. I was so dehydrated and my brain was dead today at work. I'm tired but tomorrow is back to the grind. Had broccoli and meatballs for dinner which felt good. My coworker got COVID and prevented me from seeing my father in law for Veterans day the 2nd year in a row (He served in Vietnam and I love him so much). Just very burnt out on people and this pandemic, but pushing through until spring. I am healthy and my family is safe, that's all that matters. Onwards to lifting heavy this week and recovering. Love my FS Family.

Thank you so much Ashley and Yoga, a bit rough but I agree, let it out and move forward. I eat crap sometimes for days in a row and hurt just like everyone else. I will never quit this journey and am so thankful to be on a platform like FS with you all. ❤💪🤘😎😥😛🏋‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Girl, you are only human, like the rest of us!! Life is not perfect, and if someone says it is, well they are just not being realistic!! We all struggle, on some level. Hang in there!! You’ve got lots of support with your fam on here!! I hope you feel a sense of relief posting this, a wee bit of weight lifted off your strong shoulders!! Try and rest ❣️

We all go through hard times and the fact that you understand that drinkinking and eating junk isn't going to help the situation is a huge step forward. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will move forward. I'm sorry that you weren't able to see FIL..Thank him for his service. 💜🙏

yeah you take it easy! no more drinking binges! sometimes we feel that love and support is very far away from us. I've seems to drag us down: dont let it. are you are believer! pray extra hard if you are! Are you not a believer? Watch humorous, funny movies and exercise like an athlete!!

The eating I can do... The drinking - at this age a few beers has my whole next day wasted on a hangover. Back at it! Sorry your plans were ruined for veterans day!

Keep marching forward JC. You can always have a get-together after you're cleared. There's no perfect time with this Covid, just make time when it's safe 👍.

thank you for sharing JC. I'm so glad you did. This brought tears to my eyes, I feel your pain. I've been keeping a gratitude journal where I write only the positive things that happened to me during the day, even the smallest ones. I read it before I go to bed. It's been helping. Just a suggestion but it might help to do that when you feel yourself getting frustrated and feeling hopeless. I'm new here and I am already finding this place helpful. Thanks again for sharing your struggles, just know that there are people pulling for you who understand and want you to succeed! :)

Glad you felt comfortable to share with us. Sometimes a small adult temper fit is necessary for sanity. Everyone needs to remember that a Holliday is just a day on the calendar marked in red. You celebrate the event, the occasion, the milestone when you can. Christmas in July? Why not. Veterans Day on the 2nd Tuesday o February—- why not. It is the idea that you do it that is important, it matters not when you do it if you make it special. I have a friend who has a large family of medical people. No way are they all getting off for Christmas— but second week in January always works out. Plane tickets are cheaper and after Christmas sales are in progress. Flexibility. Reconsider the alcohol.

Sounds familiar, I can absolutely relate. We got this! I'm coming back down from my highest weight..again. I'm determined to get it back off though. Sending big hugs your way.

This was helpful to me! Since my birthday in mid-October, I have swayed between great and awful choices, so I’m hearing you. Your share strengthens my own resolve to hunker down and continue my hard work to claim this new life I’m choosing to embrace with gusto! May God bless you and your family. I hope you can gather with them soon to celebrate each other and special moments between all of you.
