Kevinloomis's Journal, 24 March 2011

I've done a lot and yet am still not taking off the weight. Time to start dramatically cutting back food during the day. Also, I will do my best to go to bed early, as being near the fridge (at night after the kids go to bed) is when I am the weakest. For some reason my calories 'in' versus 'out' are not making a differnce in my weight. I am being close to accurate. I feel a lot better and exercise every day. Now it is time for serious calorie depleation. Not fun but it's always worked before. Will be interesting to see how it pans out in a few weeks. Hopefully reading this then will be the turning point. I'm trying to hard now to not take it to the next level. 172 MUST be my new weight. It was for over 10 years and only the last year did I screw up.
184.0 lb Lost so far: 54.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

May I suggest a tool to help see if maybe your caloric intake is maybe too low? I was working out every day and keeping my calorie count at around 1400 and I wasn't losing weight. I worked out my BMI info on a calculator and for my level of activity I was eating about 300 calories fewer than I should have been. I've lost 2 pounds in less than a week by increasing my intake by 300. Here's the calculator... http://www.bmi-calculator.net/ Good luck to you!
