Matt, I hear you. I haven't done my 2nd century ride yet. Maybe next spring I will pickup more biking mileage. It's getting cold here. Did you try out your TT bike yet? I am surprised you didn't go for brake hydraulic/disc setup.

YG- Great Sunday morning for you & your very kind words..Those 3 points made my day ! Add Point #4 I keep these wisdom in my personal journal: While smiling say this "To have what I didn't have is to do what I haven't done before. Take smart calculated risks & face my fear!" 😁😎 P/S Haven't decided the lucky name for my bike yet.. Will keep yo'all posted. It will be a shocking surprise😑

Tai - Sure it is cold these days even down south ! Need to install ISM nose-less saddle before trying the new TT bike. Was told this nose-less seat is for big magic stick and courageous balls ...hahaha (messin' wit you!) 🤣 P/S I dont plan to use brakes a lot for normal riding or even downhill , I use only for emergency 😁

Superman - Yup, still intoxicating, helps to feel pain as pleasure while going for long endurance ride 😎

Matt, lol. I heard of this saddle before from a guy who has a spin bike setup. Let me know how you like it when you have it.

Tai - I took it for 88-mile & saddle was great especially during aero lowest position, bring the best out of us for a long endurance ride- the big stick & "amazed balls" are literally Happy smilin' 🤣

Matt, glad to hear it. I will consider getting one for myself when I get my next bike. Congrats on your 88-miles test ride. No issue with your new bike increased stiffness on your back?
17 Nov 21 by member: Tai_1-9
Thanks Tai. Yup Noseless ISM saddle is a good investment. So far no back pain with bike stiffness.. however after 70 miles or so my thighs start to feel real sore due to lactid acid build ups. I guess that's normal?

Matt, lactic acid build-up is going to be an issue on the long ride. After I did 65 miles, I thought 100 miles would be a piece of cake. But that wasn't the case, I struggled after 95 miles. Your style of building up the miles as you work toward 100 miles is the best way. My coworkers tell me the only way to reduce the lactic acid build-up is to drop a gear or two and pedal faster. It's a bit counter intuitive but it works. You are drinking electrolytes? I have been using Nuun electrolyte tablet in one if my 32oz bottle on the long ride.

Hi Tai, I live day and night with GU Electrolytes 😁. In fact my version of that GU stands for "GU = Girlfriend Unfaithful" haha. I take a mixed of traditional Himalayan Pink Salt + EmergenC Vitamin C Electrolytes + honey + Water. I'm an old school .. I recently start taking GU Roctane capsules premixed with water during any long ride. How is Nuun tablet working for you? It seems easier in a small bottle/container to carry around. I might buy some too.

Hi Matt, that's funny nickname for GU, haha. I didn't have any preference for electrolytes. I use it based on my coworker's recommendation. He is an avid biker (he's doing 110+ miles on gravel trail today), and he reads label of the ingredients before he uses it. So I go with it. I have no complain, it has been good for me because I am a bit sensitive to Gatorade. Some version of Gatorade will give me a headache, maybe the coloring dye?

Hi Tai, I try to avoid these commercial sport drinks.. As I mentioned, am an old fashioned + practice remarkably frugal existence...haha https://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/fitness/exercises/3-sports-drinks-to-avoid.html
