So I'm starting 2 new challenges, one however has a mini-challenge/guideline that I can't follow. It says no eating after 8pm. I work 3-9 and don't get time to eat at work. I eat just before I go but if I don't eat after then I'm going 17-18 hours without eating because I don't get up and eat until 8 or 9am. So that one I'll have to break, but I think I can follow all the other guidelines. We're starting out at 163, let's hope I came reach my goal by summer!

For the eating after 8 part... I always have to adjust that to my own timetable. Most say don't eat after 7 or 8, but I go to bed and get up early so that is too late. I cut off no later than 5, but usually 3:30 if I have had 3 meals already. Just pick a time at least 2-3 hours before you go to bed and have that your cuttoff time. I usually post that in the beginning of challenges, that I am adjusting my cuttoff time to "x" because I am usually in bed by 8pm. What time do you usually go to bed? You can do it!

JeanineDS has the idea! 2-3 hours before bed was the idea behind the 8pm cut off, for me a concrete time is just easier to follow. Track your success with that goal with not eating 2 hours before bed time.

That makes more sense. I usually go to bed at around 11 to midnight, then get up around 8 or 9 to feed and take care of my daughter. I don't get a break at work to eat as I'm only schedualed 6 hours and some nights don't get home until 9:30 or later. And there is no way I can go from 2:30 pm until 9 or 10 am the next day without eating, and I take a medication once in the morning and once at night that if I don't eat at least a bowl of cereal then I will be really sick.

In that case, I would just recommend eating your bigger meal before going to work. For the night meal, eat light and healthy! That way if it isn't a full 2 hours between your last meal and bed, then you have minimized the damage of late night eating! Sometimes there just isn't a way around it! You still need go get a decent night sleep!
