Treadmill and weight workouts last night, long workday, it happens. Had egg tacos last night as the chicken I had intended to be defrosted staged a coup and was still fairly frozen even when I went to bed. So annoying. I am going to swim today while the weather is still good.

Holding the protein up as best I can, who the heck would have thought it was hard to eat enough of that? Trying to keep powders to a once a day thing and the rest as food. Was lagging on veggies last night, too, but did get a ton in at lunch, so all good. I'm having mom do my grocery shopping so that she can see what I'm eating instead of just thinking it's a magic process. Also, she's in the store constantly, so why fight it? She did have a bit of a light bulb moment picking up all the veggies and frozen fruit. Guess I'm not ordering any more pizzas for awhile. Or maybe the cauliflower crust ones so she can discover them.

More good numbers below, muscle up, blob down, doubt I gained any bone mass overnight with the five and ten pound weights I was using for the strength workout. The good news is that they were easy and I'm not sore, so I'm definitely stronger than last year due to swimming and cables. All I need to do is keep chipping away at the blob. We'll get there. Keeping in mind that the scale only tracks trends, this is what I want to keep doing. To have made any progress at home during a pandemic is a good thing and feeling good with endorphins is a great reward. And it makes me sleep so hard.

Press on, indeed! I DO hear you, re:protein. I struggle hard to get enough in on a daily basis, and I'm not actively trying to build muscle the way you are! It's definitely the macro I track the most closely, just to make sure I'm hitting a minimum RDI for a sedentary woman my size. 😁 I've started putting a scoop of nutritional yeast in everything that tastes alright with it, but I have to be honest - as much as I love it, I'm getting really tired of it. 😆 I also really like your strategy for showing your mom the differences between grocery lists. That's a really smart tactic.

I need to see if I can tolerate nutritional yeast again. I don't know if I'm allergic or what, but it seemed to exacerbate some major skin issues I was having so I dropped it as part of an elimination strategy. Bodies are weird.

Oh no! Bodies ARE weird, that's for sure. Well if it doesn't work out, no worries - plenty of other options out there. =)
