There are a lot of reasons. Water weight, hormone fluctuations, salt retaining water, etc. Don't sweat the small dips. That's life. Persistence pays.

Because you’re a woman with an amazing body that is regulating as it sees fit. I hold water weight after I ovulate. Maybe you did not get in enough water for the day and you’re dehydrated. Go easy on yourself and celebrate the fact that you’re able to do the basics. Don’t worry so much about calories- worry about the quality of food you put in your body. Go for a 15-30 minute walk after each meal. Drink that water!! Stay away from sugar and all sweeteners as they create some crazy insulin spikes. So many different things your body is experiencing. How’s your stress? That will make your body hold on to stuff too. Deep breaths- smile and trust your process.

Good stuff from the other comments. Also remember the scale is just a data collector. It tells you what u weigh but not what your made up of. So just because we gain or lose doesn't mean it's fat. Maybe water or in my case a bunch of waste in my belly. Lol. Tmi. So look and feel is much more important. Check out diablo360x last pic post. Same weight. 2 different body comps. Also since I totally butted in here on u. Love yourself. No matter the numbers. I went through this with my wife. She's amazing and gave me 4 big head but beautiful babies. Yet she hates her body feeling like they destroyed it. It's way hotter now . Just my 2 cents.

Totally agree with Hebrew on this. It's totally normal for us to have fluctuations from day to day. But it doesn't mean nothing is happening. It's one of the hardest concepts to grasp in weightloss and many people give up because of this. If you keep at it you will see the scale go down. But water and muscle affect your weight. Look for non scale victories (NSV) as well.

It happens sometimes. It's frustrating. But another day, it will go down when you don't expect it. You have to start comparing weeks and months, not days. It will drive you crazy otherwise.

I'd say do track your calories, they are the most important thing for weight loss, and don't worry about details or about eliminating everything you like or that makes dieting easier.

Unless you get the exact same water, sodium, and carb intake daily, your water weight will always fluctuate. Patience and consistency over a loooo g period of time is how we succeed.

Thanks Kattay for the encouragement. And thanks Drae, so sweet. 💜 Thanks for the reminder Hebrews to love yourself. It’s actually encouraging that you think she’s hotter now after kids! Haha. My husband always tells me I look great and is super supportive, which is really sweet... I heard somewhere that as moms instead of feeling ugly from the baby weight we should be proud of our strong bodies that grew and birthed a child and carried them in our arms and nursed them/fed them to health. That really changed my thinking about it!😀 And yes I wondered if it could be some muscle forming from my workouts... 🤞Also i purposely only weigh myself once a week so I don’t obsess over it 😆. I just look forward to that weigh in cuz it’s so encouraging to see the number progress! But I’ve already developed healthier habits and that is so valuable regardless. Thanks for the encouragement too, Bear and Diablo!💗

I have a whole new respect watching the birth process. As larry the cable guy said "I give up on a poop after 20 minutes". I couldn't do it. I've dislocated my kneecap 12 times and couldn't carry a baby.

I just posted this happening to me. But it is not new, It is something that I would go through every time I've tried to drop the weight. I remembered this. I think the body is still trying to adjust to what I want it to do, at the same time wanting to go back to that comfort zone. So I say to you and I. Let's keep doing what we are doing. I didn't find out what would happen if I kept going because I would always fall back ( gave up) but this time I really want to know what will happen.
