I can't believe I gained almost 40 Lbs with this pregnancy. In the beginning I was only trying to gain the minimum 25Lbs. I somehow let myself eat like I've never eaten before. I've been feeding my baby junk foods for the past 9 months and now I keep telling myself that I need to stop with all the sweets and junk before I breast feed her. I don't know how I am going to get my butt back into eating nutritious foods. I know I need to start now, but I always tell myself I'll eat better tomorrow. I really want to be a good role model for my daughters nutrition, but it is easier to say this than to do it.

I gained over 60 with my first. I was totally clueless as to how to eat and ate a lot of junk and fast food. I gained around 40 with my second, it was much easier to get rid of but, still took almost two years. I'm 24 weeks on Wednesday and have gained 14lbs so far. I've been trying to eat healthy and watch the sweets (it is VERY hard) When I think I've over done it one day I try to eat a lot better the next. Trying to maintain some kind of balance. How far along are you now?

Honestly, I feel ya. I did really well with my pregnancy, until I got pre-eclampsia and had to stop working. Between sitting on my butt, having nothing to do to occupy myself, and the fact that the furthest I could waddle was the kitchen, I threw on 40 lbs in the last two months of my pregnancy. And now, every day, I eat good food, workout, breastfeed (enjoy that part... it means faster weight loss for you!)... and try to remember my son is going to learn how to eat from me. So i'd better start learning!! the good part is... if you do it now, you can keep saying "i'm not fat, i'm losing the baby weight"... my daughter was 6 when I got pregnant with my son, and I was still trying that line out =)
