Food-wise, I follow Atkins Induction very well, I think; Drink-wise, not so much. I admit that I'm an alcoholic. They say admitting it is the first step but I haven't found that it changes my level of drinking. I'm armed with all the logic of why drinking is not helping me, but it doesn't stop my reasoning to think that I need to drink.

Overall, I've seen inches lost. My swollen tummy has gotten much flatter to the point that I can wear some of my "skinny" shirts and dresses.

I will eat Atkins Induction because it makes me feel and look good. I will eventually stop drinking, just as I have in the past. I will. I must.

Wow. Such honesty. I feel the same way about "dieting". I KNOW what to do to loose the weight. It's just a matter of actually DOING it. You'll get to a place where you reach for that next glass and think, "Nah, that's enough".

I can't wait until I get to that point that I think it's enough. I do need outside help and am looking for something. Alcoholics Anonymous just seems depressing to me so I'm hoping there's some type of mindfulness group that focuses on overcoming addictions.

I encourage to go to AA. It is an awesome program, and you will meet some wonderful people, who will become like family to you. Go to some different meetings until you find one that fits. Quitting drinking is very hard by yourself, you need people to come around you, surround you, and love on you! Thru 12 step programs I have meet some of the most wonderful people, and felt loved like never before. They became to me my other family, I could totally be me,without any judging. And most of us need to be accountable to someone to get sober.Go for it! You are so worth it!
