SaintViper's Journal, 01 December 2010

Numbers are in for the month. Lost 7.2 lbs in November. (Helped by a 5 lb drop in the last two days lol.) Calories were almost exactly the same as the month before and protein was up a bit. I'm completely happy with the intake numbers.

Exercise was down a bit. I averaged about 175 fewer calories burned per day than I did last month. I think I'm exercising enough but I am getting into it more as I go, so I may be able to bump that up a bit with some minimal effort. Without the long bike rides it's tough to keep that number up where it was. The trainer isn't really doing it for me and I'm not really up for any 55 mile rides when it's 30 degrees out. Am really enjoying the swimming though. It's great to get my upper body working for a change and I think it will help with the biking next summer. I can feel myself getting better at it which is great as well.

One of my goals for the month was to drink less. I did really well at first but it's been coming back a bit lately. I'll have to track down the numbers and see what the difference actually was.

Below 200 and you still have 3 days to rock before the dreaded weekend. Keep up the good work!

Oh yea, I plan on being under to stay this time. I even have a little breathing room now. Nothing big going on this weekend so I should be able to be good for it.

Tried some soy & flax seed tortilla chips from Trader Joe's yesterday. They were really tasty and had pretty good numbers vs. standard chips. I don't think I'd want to have them around every day to munch on or I'd go overboard, but if there's an occasion where I know I'm likely to be eating chips, I might have to take some of those along to have instead.

Yeah TJ's has really good tortilla chips. They make a white corn one in their reduced guilt brand that is nice, because it has fewer calories. Although the salted ones go fast. You should look for those next time. Tortilla chips are about the only real snack food I keep around the house. As long as I portion them out and keep the bag in the kitchen, I do ok.

Well, the pool kicked my butt today. A couple low calorie days seem to have caught up with me. There was a guy there with a waterproof mp3 player though. I am sooo going to get one of those!
