The big 40. Am a little dehydrated from my trainer ride so it might go up a little tomorrow, but for now, I'll take it. Thought I did really well yesterday on the calories but they turned out to be a bit higher than I expected. I really need to do something with those peanuts. I'll try moving them to another cabinet where I'm less likely to come across them.

Finished off the Chobani yesterday with the plain. They were all quite yummy until I got to that one. The plain reminded me of eating sour cream. Yuck! Will probably stick with the cottage cheese primarily as I like it just as much (as the flavored Chobani) and the protein/calories ratio is even better. (And it's much less expensive.)

The kids are both going to a birthday party tonight so HC and I get to go out to dinner by ourselves. Will try to avoid the beer battered whatever but still have something good.

Congrats on hitting 40! The FF Plain Chobani does take some getting used to if you don't add your own fruit or anything to it, but for price and portion per grams cottge cheese is a good option. Keep Up the good work!

Happy 40th!!! LOL!!! Next stop, your age. :) Ah yes, nuts. Nuts are evil. Only in the sense that I love them and cannot seem to keep my grubby little hands out of them once there is an open package. That stupid Trader Joe's makes these cinnamon coated almonds that just KILL me. I try to save those for BIG bike rides. REALLY BIG bike rides. And as for the plain chobani, I always mix mine with the whey powder (vanilla flavor) and some other drink powder mix to flavor it up. Otherwise yes, it would be too much like sour cream. Which I often use it as a substitute for. I also use it to stretch salad dressings and things. It can make blue cheese or ranch dressings go ALOT further for not much more calories and they still taste wonderful.

Thanks guys. 40 seems like such a huge number. I'm pretty excited about it. HC got me a nice new dress shirt that fits properly. I also went out and got some pants that fit too. Now I'm really committed cause there's not a lot of room to grow in these clothes at the moment.

Wow, bonked hard in the pool today. Was almost at the end of my workout, doing fine, and then just hit it like a wall. I biked last night and must not have eaten enough in between. Will have to keep an eye on that or try and change the timing of my workouts.

I feel for ya. Felt pretty good yesterday. Kept the eating under control, even managed to knock out a 10k run (thank god it didn't start really raining until after I was out there and committed) and had a good dinner. Then went to the gym today and felt like a wet noodle. Oh well, I guess they can't ALL be great workouts. It was a total act of self control at the grocery store on the way back from the gym before lunch though!!!

I thought you meant that you actually hit your head. I used to ride to my resistance training sessions on top of the my ride to and from work and then would do a cardio class on the days in between or yoga. I had to knock off the riding to the gym. J gave me this big lecture of who really does that and how I work harder than like 99% of people. So I listened to him and I feel less like I have been dragged by a truck all week come Friday. 40 IS a huge number, you are doing really good and what great motivation with having new clothes to show off how well you are doing!

Oh man, one bad day and you're right on top of me. That's okay though. We both win not matter when we cross the finish line.
