Katsolo's Journal, 18 June 2020

No swim, no real walk because I can't even get my heart rate up without running around. Good problem to have, but temporary set back. Did enough stuff when I got home to close the rings, but we'll call it a rest day. Probably some salt from last night's health food as well. Life goes on, today, we swim and probably walk as well.

We don't usually go to the real beach after Memorial Day because it's too crowded. But these are unusual times. It was a nice change and the surf was pretty big from the south. Nice enough sunset for having the marine layer sitting on top of the coast. My dogs were not allowed in the water because I didn't want to have to do three baths at night then have to clean the bathroom and house, not to mention the car.

Sounds really nice, Kat! Love that the beach wasn’t crowded for your outing. Lol I’m glad the pups listened to you, they must be very well trained. But then again, washing three giant dogs, then the bathroom, then the house, then the car sounds like one amazing workout. 😅

Love your dogs! My golden is lying down under my chair as I eat lunch (grilled chicken and veggies), update FatSecret diary and read some posts.

Ha! "Only the three" in the second pic are mine. Ms. Bandana Girl is my friend's dog and part of our "super pack" who all train together and so they all get along because they are friends. The really big guy in the first pic is my marshmallow baby who can crush a man's femur according to my vet. They are not trained protection dogs, but they absolutely can and do keep me safe. They are trained with basic commands, some better than others. The light shepherd is a rescue I found under a truck and she has "freak out" moments where she panics and runs so I have to keep a constant eye on her. Bath time at my house is usually about two hours start to finish without sand activities.

Wow! My first thought after seeing your beautiful dogs was what a mess to clean up!!! So great you can take them to the beach and enjoy them and the beauty! I had a golden retriever and a malamute When I gave a bath to the malamute i just put a swim suit on... Absolute going to be wet to the skin anyway! I would get right in the tub with him. He was strong as an ox! Sweet and kind as a lamb though!
