Your menu looks great! But, your calories are a little low, and I noticed that your fat grams are lower than your protien grams. The lower amount of calories might make your body "think" it needs to hold on to what it already has. So, feeding it a little more healthy fat would help, I'd guess. If you can change those numbers so that the fat is more than the protien, that might help. And, may get the calories to around 1700-1800, it might balance things out, and get the pounds to drop. My calories were way low yesterday too. But, I have a sinus thing going on..and eating was not top on my list.] You're doing great, so be patient. Sometimes, it can be quite a balancing act -figuring out what all your body needs. Just hang in there! Your body will catch up eventually! Andrea

I just can't seem to eat enough. I know my carbs are supposed to be 20 and my protein is 25-35 and fat 60 I have just been trying to get my cal. to 1500. I am just never hungry it so hard to make myself eat. Thanks for the info.dj

I've been having the same issue. I solved it by adding more olive oil to my salads. At 120 calories per tablespoon of olive oil you can drive up the calorie count quite easily. I had been using cream. But I just read in Dr. Atkins book that cream, for some people, can actually prevent weight loss. He recommends no more than 3 tablespoons of cream per day. But cream helps with the calorie count too. If you are a cheese junky that's also another high calorie treat to add as a snack.

I know from past experience that starving yourself while keeping it low carb will catch up with you. I seem to do well as long as I eat more than 1500 calories: olive oil and butter!
