chowderhead's Journal, 19 April 2020

Over the course of the year I slowly gained back 15 of the 27 pounds I had lost. During the early days of Sheltering in Place I actually lost a couple pounds - maybe it was muscle? But in the last couple weeks I've been oh-so-slowly gaining. Probably equal parts less activity and, as the sheltering continues, eating for entertainment. Back on track today. Gentle - we are in a pandemic after all - but consistent.
303.2 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 71.2 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Diet Calendar Entry for 19 April 2020:
311 kcal Fat: 17.52g | Prot: 16.64g | Carb: 22.77g.   Breakfast: Arnold 100% Whole Grains Whole Wheat Bread, Egg, Butter. more...

Hang in there. It's hard. I too have been having problems and I have 1.5 private acres to walk around. I've found I've been eating more and craving nuts, which sounds like a good craving. It's not a good craving, because nuts are loaded with calories. I've also found, I've been eating more and have been hungry. I think it's the stress and psychological feeling that the stores are sold out of certain things, so I feel like I have to quick eat everything. For exercise, you can turn to YouTube. There are a lot of fun and free exercise videos on there. My favorite is the "Live Love Party" videos and the "kickbutt kick boxing" videos.

Sorry for the sloooow response, Magpiezoe, but thanks so much for your comment. I've really been struggling with motivation through this pandemic, but I think I'm started to find the thread. It's GREAT you have 1.5 acres to walk on. Enjoy! We have no real outdoor space at our townhouse. I go for walks in the neighborhood, but most of the "recreation" areas are either prohibitively busy or closed due to the crowds. I have been taking advantage of those Youtube videos as well. They do help "break the spell" and get you up and moving. Thanks again for your support!
