I couldn't believe it when I looked at the scale Saturday morning. 179.8. Meaning that since I started this new eating and exercise way of life last June, I have lost 40.2 pounds. I have lost 40 pounds!!! Seems like a lot.
Because it is. And I am so proud of myself! Along with that victory, I have recently celebrated another personal victory, the anniversary of the date that I quit smoking. In the last year (or so!) I have not smoked, and have lost 40 pounds.
Meaning, I'm healthier now than I've been in a good long while.
And I couldn't be more proud of myself.

Congratulations on your loss and on quitting smoking besides! I quit smoking in January, started taking my weith on in May. I it feels really good to be in control.
Yes 40#'s is a lot! I keep track of my loss in 3# cans of Crisco shortening. I have removed from my body 8 cans of Crisco. I laugh when I imagine them haning on to my body. I still have 16 or so cans to loose. Now don't I look silly!

40 lbs IS a lot! My son only weighs about 30 and he is heavy. I have to lift him carefully or I'll hurt my back. And congrats on not smoking, too. You should definitely be proud of yourself.
