Wow, the 4th of July BBQ screwed my diet. Damn that food was good though. I still firmly believe you have to cheat every once in a while to stay on track or you will burn out.

Sometimes we have to take a step backward to take 2 steps forward. Glad that you enjoyed the bbq. Before you know it, you'll be back on target again.!

I agree that you need to cheat sometimes to stay on track. I stick to my diet really well during the week, but slack a little on the weekends. It makes for a slower weight loss, but it's still a loss. And this way I don't feel like I'm depriving myself all the time!

Kudos to you. I try to watch what I'm eating, but I love those Hershey chocolate nuggets and may have one or two as a snack and I like a couple beers while playing golf. Doesn't sound healthy does it. BUT, it satisfies and lets me concentrate on fruits, veggies and better eating the rest of the time. Plus, we have a wellness program at work and have team challenges, which keep me pretty much on track.
