This is my first entry and I felt now would be a good time to write about my weight loss experience this week.

So I enjoyed my work week off it was filled with:
My final weigh-in and measurements with Jazzercises' "Forever Fit" program (lost 12lbs total, 5 inches in my waist, 1 inch around the chest, 2 inches in the hips, .5 in the thigh, no loss in the arms but they do look toner), birthdays, graduations, and my 1 year anniversary of being married.

All good times! But a bad week as far as food consumption goes. I've gone well over the 1500 calories I've set for myself a day with the pounds to prove it. This also happened 2 months ago when there was a change in environment and location at work. We moved downtown and there were so many places for me eat and so many different foods for me to try, I couldn't pass this opportunity up. So I enjoyed everyday of being downtown for a while. But when it was all over, I cried and was afraid to weigh-in and I suddenly had the urge to joined Weight Watchers Online for support. When I finally decided to jump on the scale I discovered that I actually lost 1 pound that week. I also discovered that I didn't need to join Weight Watchers because I had everything I needed right here on Fat Secret this whole time. I just needed to reach out to people on here for support. But most importantly I found that over eating during those few days was not as bad as I was thinking. So I was lazy and fell off the wagon for a week; Of course it's not going to help me reach my goal any faster but so what! It happens! But I've learned to get right back up and start on moving toward the right track again and not to dwell on it or make myself feel guilty about it (life is too short for that mess).

I also want to say “Thank You” to everyone that requested me as a buddy or accepted my request to be buddies. You guys have no idea how much help you have been! So THANK YOU AGAIN!!

It's so true! A few days of less than careful eating can sometimes be good for you :) I went on vacation last summer for a week and pretty much ate whatever I wanted, including several margaritas, and I lost weight! I think it's one of the most important life lessons for weight loss/maintenance: You don't have to be perfect. In fact, sometimes it's good to give yourself a break. I'm going to bet the bump up in your weight will go back down shortly. Happy to be your buddy :)
