momma6224's Journal, 06 August 2018

I’m back from another vacation and determined to start logging my food again. I have kept my weight between 125-130 all summer while eating what I want in moderation (for the most part!) Id like to get back to a lchf diet as much as possible because I like how I feel when I eat that way but it isn’t as easy or convenient. The kids go back to school in 2 weeks and that should help with routine. It’s much easier to eat healthy when I am home and following a schedule.
I hope you’re all well! Have a great day everyone!

"I like how I feel when I eat that way..." That is how I feel even though I am now at 'goal weight'.

I’ve been at my goal weight for about a month. We’re on vacation and I hate pretty much what I wanted, although I was always conscious of my carbs. When I returned my way to unchanged. So I think it’s basically a lifestyle change just being aware of what you put in your body. The only change I made Since being on keto is upped my carbs back but also added exercise at the gym. Stick with it. You can live your life without being too strict. Just be aware of what you eat and make it your lifestyle

Vacations are hard on the diet. Hopefully once the kids are back in school you can get back to the routine. For me the easiest time to eat healthy is while I'm at work. I can make whatever I want and only have the healthy foods, but at home I have some bad influences that want pizza and cupcakes. :) You've done amazing through this journey, so I'm sure you'll get back on track.

Eh... a cookie here and there won’t kill you. It’s not what you do some of the time, But rather what you do most of the time. You are usually within 5 to 10 pounds of your goal weight, So if you fall off on the wagon on vacay ot the weekend, just be strict keto for the next week. I found that if I don’t obsess on the weight, but live the lifestyle I’m doing fine. You’ll be able to live with it a lot better than denying yourself the food you want every once in a while. Good luck momma; you got this!
