208.8, too bad it is not 8.8 still.

I was telling my son the other day about an old Charleston used car commercial with an old country lady saying 88-88! It was funny, he did not get it either. I guess you had to be there.

Yesterday went well. Big salad for lunch, and my "Johnny Stir Fry" for dinner. I added 4 tbsp of rice to give it a little starch, and then split it up into 3 portions for wife, me and my secret friend.

"Johnny Stir Fry" basically lately is Olive Oil, Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms, and Fresh Garlic chopped up. Cook it til it clear/caramelized, toss in some meat or eggs if you choose. Also use plenty of salt & pepper!

Spices makes our healthy food palatable. Do you think they brought spices around the world to put on fried chicken? I dont think so!

Last nights version had Onions, Peppers, and Cabbage (No shrooms!). It was seriously lacking color and looked like a Russian or Polish prison meal, but it was tasty. Oh, and 4 ozs of Chicken breast cut up.

Basically, it is what I have been living on since the journey started. I can stir fry some of this in a few minutes and be eating yummy veggies (to me) in minutes, and the olive oil keeps me full longer.

Sometimes if I am feeling "nasty" I add butter (gasp!). I do kind of limit carbs after 5 PM, at the advice of my nutritionist. Like the supplements I take, I kind of just think it works, and dont really care about much else.

Anyhoo, Took the bike out and it did feel better. More saddle time and the gears seemed better. I put the original seatpost back on it, and my old seat. I may have a reach problem with my stem/seat/handlebars, but we will see how that goes. My hands dont hurt any more than usual today...

Tomorrow is my long ride. I will typically do 20-25 miles. The problem is during Ramadan that means doing laps at the pier, where there is no wind blocking buildings (and its boring). At least I can ride, and drink water without being harassed or arrested, lol.

Anyhow, off to workey. Hopefully, boring day.

Yay on the low! I didn't get the 88-88 either. :) I was thinking about the dull looking food - I remember someone telling me to always try to have three colors in a dish - it makes it look delish! I think there is something to it. Your recipe sounds pretty damn good though. I also wonder about the secret friend. He's not the one raiding the fridge at night, is he? ;)

Also, JP, I gotta applaud your progress. I love the stability of the graph on your weight history. Steady as he goes in a slow, healthy pace. Nice. You're getting there, pal.

Love your bike updates!! Today I added a mountain rack for my panniers, a water bottle cage and bell to Drew's ride along (kid tandem attachment), & a mirror to my handlebars. I am so excited for our Mommy and Drew trip next weekend! Great job on your new low, too. I am seeing good progress on my own scale now that I am back in the groove.
