Nice loss today, back to 209.8 which is cool.

My bike came in! Yesterday AM I took a nice ride. Then I messed around and had lunch with the wife (healthy home made). Then we were napping and I got a call from work, my bike was here!

Assembly was much easier than I though. I had a few upgrades or special parts on hand to put on, stem, handlebars, pedals, and seatpost. It turned out that was the toughest crap. I left the stem at work after picking it up, and that messed me up for a while.

I got it all together nicely, and had some issues with the disk brakes which was easily solved.

Pictures!

Anyhow, I am grateful. I am excited to ride it. I tried a 2nd ride last night as a test ride, but did not have the energy, and that is when I discovered a dragging brake issue. So it was like pedaling uphill. Now I have to see if I can ride today. I am wicked sore from this adventure alone.

Anyhow, off to work.

VERY nice bike. My Dad used to sell bikes (and repair them) and I remember him telling me that Motorbecane is an awesome brand. First of all, they're affordable compared to the quality they deliver, second of all he mostly didn't see them coming in for repair. It makes me want one! Enjoy!

Thanks Keld! They are kind of an off brand it seems, and sold by an internet retailer where you can get incredible components for the price. I like it. The local bike shop (LBS) here is across town, and in an off limits area. Plus they only have Trek, which is not totally bad, but I just got twice the bike for less than a Trek. We also lose out quite a bit in the conversion rate.

Joelae, it has some red on it, and my new handlebars have a little more red, so it all goes together well now. I have always like Black & Red.

Fantastic bike! You'd better put that on your gratitude list. It is so much more fun riding my new one too. Congrats on your next decade of weight loss (under 210! Whoop!).
