Welcome Michelle. You are in a good place for tips to help you lose weight. Start logging your foods consistently is the best way to start. Exercise may make you feel good, but the foods you eat are more important to your success. Best of luck on your journey.

hi Michelle. Please look up a guy named thomas delauer on you tube. also look up doctor burg. these too people have changed my life. listen to them and I'm sure you will start to loose weight pretty quick. I have already lost about 12 kg and I have not had to be too strict. they are defiantly worth a look. take care.

I concur will these comments. Another good website is Diet Doctor. I have been doing Keto for 12 months. It's great and the best benefits are the health benefits as well as the weight loss. ..which can be slow but if you stick it out ...it's well worth it.

I second the DietDoctor site, and Keto diet generally. Cravings for carbs disappear! I've only been eating low carb for weeks and have seen a good loss. Keep your chin up, and one day at a time!

I've had very poor health for the last decade and the keto diet and hydrotherapy have saved my life. I recommend reading the Atkins books, they're always available at the library, watching Diet Doctor videos and Dr Berg videos on youtube and joining a challenge group to motivate you. I just joined a challenge group that started last week. It's the 90 day Low carb challenge and the lady that organises it has a great website and runs these challenges a couple of times per year. I lost nearly 2kg this week, so give it a go. Good luck ☺ https://m.facebook.com/groups/lowcarbchallenge/

I hope all goes well with the big C and it doesn't come back. Best of luck with your health journey

Hi Michelle, having never suffered from the big C myself, I can't completely relate, but I hope something of what I say might give you some motivation. Rather than trying to find a diet that fits with your lifestyle, and then beating yourself up if you don't stick to it, maybe aim for 5 and 2? So do 5 strict days where you make sure you keep processed food to a minimum and eat clean. Then on the other two days allow yourself that piece of cake or meal out (Not full days but meals here and there than make your week 80% clean and 20% enjoyment). Sticking to a diet may get you to your goal weight but I'd hate for it to go back on in the months following because you've felt like you've restricted yourself too much. In terms of finding motivation to get on the bike, maybe go for a walk instead. Start small with 15 minutes here and there - rather than planning a route give yourself 10 minutes out and 10 minutes back in for example. Having had friends pass away from a car accident and another from cancer at 20 and 33 respectively, I began to realise there is more to life than just work, study, exercise etc. This world is meant to be experienced, so going a different way and finding something new may be a way to start experience the beauty that being alive has to offer. it really is a beautiful world (I hope to make it to Perth next year!) ❤❤❤
