4.5lbs in 3 days is pretty damn good by me. I know it's water weight initially but who cares - it feels good.
Hard for me to get into ketosis but I think I need more fat to protein ratio.
Read an article about gluconeogenous - it's what happens when the body runs out of glycogen stores so starts to convert proteins into glycogens!!! I always wondered why my keto diets don't get me into ketosis.
I was doing things metabolically wrong for my body (not the case for everyone). I would eat for eg. 40 grams of protein and 20gs of fat = no keto. Last night I tried changing that ratio to more fat and less protein. A few hours later - bam - trace ketones. Better than 0!!
Let's see how this plays out. I need to get down to 138-139 for summer running. Fingers crossed - it sure ain't easy to lose at nearly 50!!
