After 1 year of really assessing all sorts of approaches for weight loss and have lost 38 lbs since Oct 3 2016, this is MY bottom line: 1200 c day with adequate protein (I use .39 grams per lb of weight) healthy fats but a reasonable amount, healthy carbs generally, that is low starch vegetables and minimal fruit, coupled with lots of water and 3 45 minute workouts at the gym (aerobic) 2 one hour walks and one day of lolling about with bon bons--just kidding on that last bit! Doctor wants me to change my goal weight from 144 to 175 due to age (72) and gender (female) so will change it to 169, ( close enough) and buy me some going off the rails and recovery room. Now If I can figure out how to change my goal weight on this site???
