Late Evening Munchies
No matter how many calories I have during the day I get the late night cravings. I can ignore cravings from rising to about 8 pm and then it kicks in. My strategy has been to push extra allotted calories into the evenings and still stay between 1100 and 1200 c. BUT OTHER IDEAS ARE WELCOME. My diet is varied & supplemented by gourmet meals my husband cooks every 3 days. So nutritionally menus are quite balanced with adequate protein, good but minimal oils, and some carbs but mostly complex.

WHY THE SCALES CAN LIE
I think I'm following the foregoing posts. My situation may be a bit different. I take a diuretic, dr's prescription daily, and so dump excess fluids every day. And still my scale will go through weeks of little to no change despite maintaining my exercise and diet regimen. So it would seem that the issue for me is not primarily water retention. I will say after struggling for a year now and losing 30 lbs since early Oct. 2016, that the hardest lesson to take in is patience with the process. Indeed as pointed out by countless others who have moved through this challenge, accepting that shifting a 100 lbs is a huge lifestyle change requires a permanent shift in our world view. Hanging 'tuff'!
