Char Gets Thin's Journal, 08 January 2014

So far I'm pleased with my New Year. I'm making a dent in the excess weight I put on over the past 5 months, and the holiday gain is now gone. But I won't start to feel satisfied with myself until I can get below last year's low weight point.

It should start to warm up some here today (one thing I love about FL is that the cold weather never seems to stick around too long) which will make my daily hike more bearable. Yesterday I wore gloves for the first time in 17 YEARS...and the only gloves I still own are long, thin black leather "dress" driving gloves. Not exactly warm, but way better than nothing at all I guess...lol

Hope today mirrors yesterday, with a touch more activity. Today is kettle bell day, so that should help, those things always get me jazzed and rarin' to go! Funny how expending energy seems to leave you with more energy than when you started. Oh, it might exhaust you at the time, but your reserves seem to fill up fast and the rest of the day goes so much smoother!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, warmer OP day. Whatever diet plan you're using, stick with it and let's see what we can do with ourselves this year! Because if we try, it can be all "down" from here! :)

We are waking up to a temp of 52 this morning. Very comfortable. This year we will all stick with it and drop a few.

Wow, it's only 36 here right now! But it's suppose to climb to the low 60s today, with a low of 51 tonight...so WAY better than the past two nights. Just a shame though, the past two nights have probably ruined my grapefruit. Not that I EAT it, mind you, but all my neighbors send their visiting snowbird relatives over to pick them to take back up north with them. lol
