The only dairy today was a little butter in a pot of soup-- 2 TBS in 8-10 servings. No rescue inhaler again today.

Meals again were primarily plant based some egg in the veggie burger and the onion soup was made with organic chicken stock--wanted to use it up. I need to put the veggie burger recipe in my cookbook. Maybe in the morning. Repetitive meals lately so I don't waste food as it is so hard to cook for just one.

A little exercise on the WOSS so suspension training including a couple planks with my feet suspended. I'm working my way back to consistent exercise as I have been neglecting it as longer work hours most days and exhausted most days after work. I need to push my self into the exercise that makes me feel good and reduces stress. I think the tiredness is stress related.

Do you want to give up butter too? You could use coconut oil in soup instead - I often do this. I have two different coconut oils. One is refined so doesn't taste of coconut and the other one does so I use that in Indian type dishes, etc, that can take the taste of coconut.

Doobrie, I do use some coconut oil mostly for salt scrubs or occasionally cooking fish, Indian or Thai. It mostly makes me gag using it instead of butter. I also have both refined and unrefined. So mostly olive oil and bit of butter here and there. Just seeing what less dairy does to breathing not completely eliminating. I actually have some yogurt I need to use up in small amounts. Will be interesting to see what happens over the next few days as with 8 inches of rain yesterday the mold count will skyrocket

Well I hope your experiments help your asthma. I have it too but never have to use my rescue inhaler, just the steroid one that I take in the mornings.

Doobrie, I'm on pretty strong preventative steroid inhaler morning and night and use the rescue one more than I would like to (none would be nice). I would love to be able to decrease the preventative one as well. Last time we tried my lung function dropped so back up it went. The steroids make it mandatory to watch weight all the time. My weight has gone up a few pounds since I had bronchitis earlier this month, added prednisone for 3 weeks. I will log it today as it has stayed @ 139 for 4 days and work at getting it back down shortly. It will drop quickly. I try inhaling essential oils to open the airways before using the recue meds. So am also researching herbal options to help decrease the meds.

Good luck WFN, I'm also finding that the closer I stick to non-processed, veggies and a bit less dairy helps. Though butter, cheese and yogurt have never been the issues that straight milk has. 🤷🏻‍♀️My asthma is subservient to other heath issues fortunately, but seems to be triggered by some of the same chemicals.😷
