Which do you prefer, garlic and ginger or hot sauce and the McCormick's Seasoning? Temp/time?

I figured out ginger/garlic for picnic hams and Smoke House Maple for butts/shoulders. 350° for an hour, drop slow and low after that. Today I'm going 205° for six hours.

There are 88 calories in 3 ounces of turkey breast, 228 calories in 3 oz pork shoulder. As I know I'm just not going to eat 3 oz of meat, pork shoulder is reserved for special occasions.

I eat it all the time, Tj, most of the calories are from fat, which doesn't move my needle.

well when you go low carb you look at 19 oz of meat a day at the upper end for the average male. You don't focus on the calories.

Looks awesome

Right on that, Sillyca, if a person pollutes their diet with carbs, whether it's sugar or starch, they have to keep their calorie count in dismal numbers if they hope to lose, and even then, good luck with that.

Looks good, but I don't eat pork, may cook the same way with lamb.

I couldn't hack it as a vegetarian, I'm afraid I would feel like I was starving. Thanks for the compliment, Gokona, it tastes as good as it looks!

Hubby would be in heaven eating that.

Just took a test bite, no words, just wow. I dropped the oven to 170° and will let it rest at that heat for another couple of hours before I kill the fire.

Wow, I want to taste that! Looks delicious!

Will it mail to the UK, Phil? It looks fantastic. @20-t-l: It works with lamb. I sometimes do Raan, an Indian-spiced and roasted leg and also make my own rubs then roast in a low oven. Raan takes ages to prep (marinating time) but is amazing!

With the price of postage it would probably be cheaper to take a plane to Heathrow and cook one for you personally!
