I cut my calories to 1000 yesterday and was busy all day working around the house and then helping my daughter move. I hit 18,153 steps yesterday. I weighed this morning out of curiosity and I was down to 246. I realize much of that is water weight but I needed a drop to keep me motivated. I have three gigs this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I know I will be alright with steps. The trick is to be on point Friday because we are playing for a friend's daughters wedding and food will be everywhere plus a band member's niece is having a cook out for us prior to the Saturday gig. I just have to make good choices, which I know how to do now. I will be fine! To all my secret friends, thanks for the support and encouragement. I wished the rest of the world was as kind and supportive as our community here!

Once we get where we want to be, we have to know how to move in the "normal" world. Cookouts and BBQs are everywhere and we shouldn't avoid them. Make your good choices. Well done on the drop!

Have an awesome, busy weekend. Isn' it crazy how many steps you get in at a gig...even though you aren't logging actual miles? LOL I sing in a Gospel choir every Sunday with rehearsal once a week.. I finally started setting my apple watch during rehearsals and Sunday sets, and its CRAZY how many calories I burn and steps I get it... win-win!
