I just came from the doctor. Due to my psychosis I am going back on clozapine. Weight gain is to continue regardless of what I do now. Last round I gained about 40 pounds in 5 weeks with no change in my diet and exercise. It also has a chance to destroy my immune system.
282.0 lb Lost so far: 13.4 lb.    Still to go: 125.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 1.8 lb a week

Ugh. Don't give up. Isn't there an alternative?

Thanks guys. Not much can be done for me. It's all the chemicals in my head being messed up. I'm working my coping skills. I've added in an extra pill of my anxiety medication and that has helped some. As for alternatives....the following is the list of medications I have been on to try and resolve the chemical imbalances in my brain: Haldol (haloperidol), Prolixin (fluphenazine), Trilafon (perphenazine), Stelazine (trifluoperazine), Abilify (aripiprazole), Fanapt (iloperidine), Latuda (lurasidone), Zyprexa (olanzapine), Invega (paliperidone), Seroquel (quetiapine),Respirdal (respiridone), Geodone (ziprasidone), and actually I'll stop there with the list. There are others that are related to stabilizing my mood, anxiety, and depression, but those listed deal strictly with the issue the Clozapine is to address the hallucinations, delusions, thought blocking, etc. I am seeing some improvement, even with the minor dose. I am not having as frequent bouts of not recognizing my own language.

Yes, you are right about the chemical imbalance and the medications. Hang with it because eventually you will discover the thing that best works for you.
