I'm so tired today!
I have decided to re-vamp my diet. I have gotten bored with my diet, and have gained 5 lbs. in the last 10 days (I recorded my weigh-in from yesterday with a 3 lb. gain, then woke up this morning to another 2 lbs. on the scale, so depressing!)
I will not let this weight come back! I am switching to low-carb effective tomorrow. I'm dreading it, but trying to be more upbeat. I know if I don't have a positive attitude going into it, I will not stick with it. I've been working on my shopping list for tonight, and making up some menus. My friend told me if I can make it through the first three days of low-carb, then I will be okay. My sis and mom have promised they will do this with me, because, even though I've done good losing weight, this will be even harder! I will definitely need the support. I just hope I have the energy to help them stick with it plus me! Also going to pick up a multi-vitamin. I'm thinking I'm lacking something, and that is causing the fatigue.
Praying I can make it through this change, and continue on to meeting my goal! :)

Hang in there Holli. You can do it. Just keep looking at that final goal. Each and every day is a new day. Think of it that way, and get up thinking about what that new day has for you. Hugs.

You can do it! I don't think of my diet as low carb, but when I look at my best days, I often skip obvious carbs like bread, rice and pasta for lunch and dinner (can't live without a little at breakfast), but still eat plenty of carbs in fruits, veggies and condiments, so I don't feel deprived.

Good luck!! Maybe trying some new recipes for low carb will be fun and get you more excited about staying low carb. I'm not a low carb eater, but I think if you are motivated and have support you can do it. At least trying it is a good thing, and if you find out it just isn't for you at least you can say you tried, but I hope you enjoy it and stick with it!

Thanks! I'm thinking that once I try it, I will do fine, it's just making the decision that's hard. Another thing that's made it difficult to change (and I know it's crazy) is that I don't want to change my diet plan here. I like all my slim fast friends! I haven't actually been drinking slim fast for about three months, but because I was still trying to follow the idea of slim fast, I left it the way it was. But low-carb is completely different. I'm just not looking forward to doing that in the morning! LOL

I have been on low carb for about 6 months. Just added low calorie as well for a push. But now back to just low carb. An occasional treat is nice, but this site has some wonderful recopies, which many I have tried, and loved, even a really good chocolate mousse one. My hard part is this last 20 lbs I want to lose. I fit in many of my smaller clothes now,but have to keep going. My hubby and I are dieting together, which helps, and he does a lot of the cooking so, we have learned many ways to prepare chicken, and beef. All our carbs come from Green vegetables. We never eat pasta, breads, or rice..... Just try to hang in there.

I often get ideas from newsletters from low carb/low calorie recipe websites. Many of them can be adapted to fit my needs. For me it's easier to get them via email than to remember to use my bookmarks to see what's new. Yesterday I was inspired to make zucchini chips (yum). My husband is forever trying to encourage variety to make this easier, and we added kale and langostino to our shopping list. As for support and friends, you've opened another door along your path, and you've got a whole new set waiting to help you along.
