Today's goal already shot. Went to an equipment demo at work, and of course didn't resist the munchkins. Holy cow they have a lot of calories!
I can still pull off the balance for the week, by eating high-fiber veggies for dinner and lunch. Also dancing two nights in a row, but I also have a headache from having 3 cups of tea with dinner last night so that I couldn't sleep. I like to pretend that caffeine doesn't bother me but it clearly does when I indulge.

I think about food all the time. Most of the time the thoughts give me pleasure, planning what tasty lunch I'll have, figuring out the best restaurant food to eat that will be healthy and fun, deciding on what potluck creation to share. My life revolves around activities that often include a focus on food. I think as long as I am adjusting maybe it's ok to focus on food.

Funny thing yesterday: my fortune cookie at the Chinese restaurant said "Perhaps you are focusing too much on yourself" - which I think is true. I think a lot of us here would like to get on that auto-pilot mode that you get after you've been driving for 20 years, that feeling of you aren't thinking about the actual driving and maybe not even where you are going because you are always heading in the "usual" direction. It takes practice though. And planning.

Hope your Thursday is good - I am fighting a migraine and hope to win the battle soon.

Lately tea seems to bother me but not coffee. Just a reference. Hope you get the headache under control and gone soon, and it does not get worse! Could the munchkins have caused it?

@TomLong the munchkins didn't help! Woke up badly, probably was MSG from the dinner out, no sleep from caffeine, too much online presence when I couldn't sleep, and then waking up too early and not finishing my coffee in the morning.

If I have tea or coffee in the evening, I make sure it's decaffeinated. Perhaps you could try that 🙂

I changed to decaf tea over a year ago and cut out Diet Coke.. made a massive difference to my migraines.. my neurologist tells me he is personally migraine free after kicking his Diet Coke habit. Although I have other triggers fir migraines ( eg painkillers), I find if I get dehydrated/don’t drink enough water, that also triggers migraines. Hope you’re over the worst and your migraine is going.. Oh.. and thanks fir the tip about Chia seeds and fibre.. I’d never thought of that, but going to try it over the weekend 😁 Have a good Friday 🤗
