I'm down today! The biggest change I made was not eating junk over the weekend. Two days can make a big difference. Not that I go overboard every weekend, but I don't tend to watch what I eat as much. I wasn't strict, I just ate what I would normally eat during the week, and got my exercise in. I just hope I can continue on that way in the future. :)

I signed up for a 5K next month, so I went for a run on Sunday. One of my goals for the year was to run a mile without stopping and I'm proud to say I accomplished that goal. I ended up going a total of 2.5 miles, but not all running. I ran a little over 1 mile, walked about .5 miles, then ran about the last mile. I was surprised that I didn't struggle more. My stamina definitely has improved with my workouts. I think I could have run a lot further if it weren't for my calves cramping a bit. Hopefully by the 5K I can run most of it. I'm not out for glory, just for finishing it. Now I'm going to re-set my goal to run 2 miles without stopping and cut my time per mile down about 10 seconds. We'll see how that goes. Now that it's going to be nicer out I can run a bit more.

You can increase your stamina by doing several short sprints in the midst of your run.
