Shockingly was a good day. Here's why...
1. The day went by quickly for a change and I was productive at work.
2. I did not have any significant angery spells, just a few moments of frustraion but I can deal with that!
3. I walked well over 4 miles.
4. I completesd my task list that I had set out.
5. I stayed under my RDI
6. The library had all my books that I wanted to get
7. I slept well again, but should have gone to bed earlier so that I could read my steamy book. Maybe tonight!!! Lol

So now I am hopeful that it will be another good day.
My task list for today:
A. Work and with luck be able to sneak in those extra hours that are really needed right now
B. After work, banking and financial stuff
C. Grocery shopping once again eating for the heat that has hit us again
D. Regular evening routine which includes simple stuff like dishes, tidying up around the apartment. Getting things ready for the morning etc
Finally E - going to bed early so that I can read a chunk of my book since I have 4 to read!!!

We can all make this a good day, every small victory will pave to the way to success on this journey!!

YEP I AM FEELING MUCH, MUCH BETTER!!!!! :) :) :) :)

The reading is a strategy that must make your life fulfilling. This distraction-attraction quiets the anger - huh. So glad you had a great day yesterday! TRULY. Oddly - I do not read as much as I used to. One of the items on my summer to do list is to renew our library cards. Reading is a winter time (snow day) activity for us. I learned in my graduate work that the brain registers READING about experiences the same way it registers ACTUALLY HAVING those experiences. So to read stimultaes the body in a POSITIVE way! The body's chemistry actually changes when we read. The nerves (dendrites) grow & STRENGTHEN when we read. Isn't that cool! Have another great day today Sweetie!

Yes reading is a very effective way for me to relax. I have phases where I read like a demon and then I read hardly anything at all. This is another trait that I have been fortunate enough to pick up from my grandmother and mother.
