I am in phase 2 now. I was thinking about sticking to phase 1 a bit longer but I had some pita bread yesterday and 2 glasses of wine so I guess I will move to phase 2. It is probably better anyways. I have IBS and if I don't have a fiber cereal in the AM, I tend to have a lot of stomach problems.

I am getting better at exercising. I used to make excuses on why I couldn't and I was too tired in the AM...blah blah. But I have been forcing myself to get up at 5:30 in the AM to walk around the neighborhood. My boyfriend has been a saint because he gets up at 5:30 with me to walk with me (he normally doesn't have to get up until 7:30). I am still a little scared to go walking by myself when it is still dark out.

I am not sure where my weight is...I refuse to weigh in until Sundays so I hide the scale during the week...it keeps me from getting discouraged.

You lost five pounds on Phase 1. The main point there is to get you *very* accustomed to the good fats and good carbs, so if you feel you won't jump back into eating too much of these, Phase 2 might be ok. Many people extend it out for a week or two since it forces you to be imaginative with Phase 1 foods and when you finally get into Phase 2 you are very moderate in your needs. After two weeks however, it should be ok to move to Phase 2 *if* you are careful of your overall intake IMHO. In other words, bring in the carbs slowly, one at a time and watch yourself to see what happens. Good Luck!
