diddoh's Journal, 08 June 2012

Well it's Friday and am very excited for the weekend. Just starting to get a little bummed that I've been stuck at the same weight for 28 days. I've been doing really good too. I think it was just time for my body to take a break from the whole weight loss thing but it kind of sucks.

I'm just going to keep plugging away and eventually I'll see the numbers start to go down again!

They say, as you lose the weight then you should decrease your calorie intake. I don't know where you are at with that, but maybe you should try consuming 200 less kcals everyday for the next week.

Looking at your diet calendar, your intake is a yo-yo, up and down. Try sticking to a lower RDI, and add exercise, even just a 30 min walk, every day. That will help your body start shedding the lbs. You can also try to sub a meal with a protein shake. Hubby and I have the Raw Meal chocolate shakes for breakfast, and I've lost about 10-15 in 2 weeks, with non-daily exercise. Some days I'll walk with the dog for a half hour, some days (like today) I'll kick the crap out of the elliptical at the gym. I also highly recommend adding more greens, and lower your intake of things like pasta, chips and other snacks, sweets unless they're sugar free. Toy with your RDI, try new and different meal replacement options. I have chocolate protein bars and shakes and it keeps me from busting into bags of M&Ms. It keeps me from buying that stuff or even craving it. I wish you luck! It's not an easy task, losing weight, but once you find your right combination for losing, you'll find your commitment renewed and much easier.

Thanks for the tips guys. As for the intake yo-yo, I actually do that on purpose. I've read on the web that you need to mix up your daily intake to trick your body. So I try and keep my monthly average between 1750 and 1850 calories. Based on everything I've read and calculated I should be loosing a little more than one pound a week with this. As for exercise I walk 2.5 miles 3 days a week in the summer and do more if my schedule permits it. I do belong to a Gym and get in there for lap swimming or machines if the weather is crappy or I need a change of pace. I just don't log it on here as I think fatsecret isn't accurate in the calories burned (I could be wrong)
