Sharing....
Today is my hubbys birthday... he has requested steak...t-bone..large ones..lol and his special side would be macaroni and cheese, my homemade version...
Anyway, my béchamel sauce is laden in butter...flour...half and half ...seasonings and of course later to make the homemade macaroni and cheese sauce, a cheese sauce I add the sharp cheddar cheese to it...
So everyone this is for all who will and can worry about and up increase on the scale this week...
I love to cook and when there is a special request I will taste...and taste lol..and that homemade bechamel sauce...well its just so good I could just had it as my main course... I didn't because it does have tons of carbs in it..
I'm more than sure I have had a couple tbsp. of it during the tasting and tasting...
I'm not going to worry though at all, or weigh now... I'm sensitive to creams at times so tomorrow if I would have weighed there would have been an increase causing a possible cycle of maybe feeling bad..
and this isn't what I'm striving for, to feel bad.
We all must learn how to take the right steps for our new way of living to feel better..
but to learn these steps doesn't mean going off plan will cause me to be doomed for failure..I need to learn if I have foods that don't pertain to my healthier plan...it will be fine if I have knowledge of a balance
I did pulled that macaroni and cheese dish out of the oven with all its creaminess and melted cheddar cheese and I did get a tbsp and went to the corner of the dish and got me a heaping spoon of the delicious dish, one of my best yet mac and cheese dishes Ive made... and it was more pleasurable than before because I knew that was my limited mouthful.. that for me was where I stopped...was where I truly enjoyed this bite..
was where I connected with myself that I also truly enjoyed the way I have been feeling with my new plan of life..this is where I realize there is a balance to this and to be successful come to terms that it is a discipline choice and I can enjoy both and be successful with continuing this new and exciting journey to feeling better lifestyle.

Happy birthday to your husband! Your food sounds amazing!! I would have tasted it too😉 I love to cook too and have to make 2 dinners most nights because my kids are super picky. I always have to stop myself from tasting. I realize now how much I would eat just while cooking haha! Your willpower is amazing! Enjoy celebrating your husband and don’t worry about anything else!

Thanks everyone and I'm pretty lucky myself..hubby supports me even though he has a different type of diet...eats basically anything for now....well,... except for veggies..hes a larger man and may want a plan to a different intake someday but that's his choice...He does make me laugh and very happy....he has called us as a couple... beauty and the beast before..he is not a beast...just has some weight on him...I love him and as long as it doesn't effect his health he can have his homemade macaroni and cheese lol
