I haven't given up the coffee yet. Everything I read says not too. It's really my last guilty pleasure. I had a blood draw today, I find out next week if my A1C has dropped at all. Since I haven't eaten any sugar or any simple carbs, I think the results will be drastically better. It's still got me baffled how I gained weight. I've looked over my numbers and what I've eaten and I still don't know.

Have you been working out, cause muscle weighs more than fat

I'm on the treadmill 3 times a week at 2 mph for 10 minutes. Sometimes I'll walk around the block instead (1/4) mile. Otherwise just mild stretching for my lower back.
