I did not want to admit it, but I have a problem. It's called excessive eating. It happens when I least expect it. However, I am learning the word "NO" aloud is quite effective and keeps those gremlins away. Oh, I do repeat it more often than not, but it is necessary. I have just started working out again - easing myself back into a routine where I work out 5 days a week with scheduled workouts of balance and flexibility. Let's face it, being out of it a month due to flu and the remaining effects of flu just took it out of me. Weight is up - I could blame it on the salty supper prior to weigh in day, or I could accept that I have not eaten like I should. The struggle is real. The effort comes and goes and is reflected in the numbers. However, you never truly fail until you stop trying...saw that on a bumper sticker when I was in college. It is so very true. And my motto....thus I keep trying. I know our efforts are better than we did in years prior and they will pay off. We may not be dropping weight the fastest, but it is coming off, and our clothes fit us better.
