Toni Bourlon's Journal, 24 January 2018

Despite going way over on calories last night, I'm still stuck/maintaining 146.5 lbs. Last night I intended to run, but my legs were sore & not wanting to, so I walked instead - it's better than nothing, right? 50 minutes, getting close to that 1000 minutes goal. Definitely will hold the calories down today. Tonight I will make the Chicken Marsala that I talked about earlier. Last night's General Tso's was a readymade heat & eat thing, so it doesn't really count towards the "cook 4 meals" goal.

As you know, my hubby had the gastric sleeve surgery last June. So he went for the 6 month checkup and was criticized by the doc for not losing anymore weight since the last checkup - JEEZ, he's lost around 60 lbs and has been maintaining in the 201 - 205 range for a few months now! And he doesn't take diabetes or BP meds anymore, doesn't need 'em. But I guess the Doc is worried that Ron will start backsliding & regain the weight. So I'll do my part, cook meals out of the Diabetes for 2 cookbook, but he needs to do his part & get some exercise (and leave the Cheesits alone!). Unfortunately, he bought himself a Nintendo Switch & has been playing Zelda Breath of the Wild the same way I've watched the Hobbit/LoTR movies over & over. At least I was on the treadmill last night while watching, LOL! Just my favorite movies ever - where do you think my nickname comes from?

Another Tolkin fan! ☺ Always great to find someone who appreciates the Hobbit/LOTR movies! Most Docs are vigilant about GBP patients backsliding, a co-worker of mine had the surgery done about 2 years ago and lost 100 lbs! However, her eating habits didn't change and has put a lot of the weight back on.
