In addition to trying to squeeze 500 exercise minutes out of the next 10 days, I'm determined to cook at least 4 meals at home this week. I've done the meal planning and the grocery shopping, so there's really no excuse not to. In fact, I cooked one of them last night. But why only 4? Because of days like today, where my dinner plan gets completely upended by my DH, who promised my younger daughter that we'd come by after work tonight to help her do her taxes. Yeah, I realize that refund is important to a starving college student, but a little advanced warning would have been nice - and by 'advance' I mean earlier than as I was leaving for work. I'd planned to make Chicken Marsala tonight (I even bought the right kind of wine). So what does DH say? He says "you can make it tomorrow." Well, not really, but whatever. Just gotta roll with it sometimes. In other news, my DH bought me one of those hydroponic garden kits for Christmas, and we're growing some cherry tomatoes. They're really coming along, too - check these out!
