I just found out that my mom is coming up from FL (I live in OK) to help my grandparents who just moved to a city about an hour away from me. I really wish she was coming in a month or so when I would hopefully be more established in the diet and not on phase one. But oh well, she'll be here Saturday and I'll drive over Sunday. I'm just afraid that with any little challenge like this I'll cheat and blow it big and never get back on track again or see the same results...

I know what you are saying. My first 2 wks on FF, I was confronted with a few family parties (all catered!) I managed to survive the two weeks by preparing myself. I brought along my own salad dressing, apples with cinnamon, my cranberry water and small bags of sliced veggies. If I was there through dinner, I brought along my own chicken and salad. It will work out just prepare yourself to be ready!

It is really good to get them to leave you alone too if you emphasise that you are dairy and wheat intolerant or that this helps you not ot get headaches... then they won't just think you are doing this for diet only reasons and they will be more willing to help you knowing it is for your health.
